Are you a former YAV? Fill out this form to join the YAV alum network.

Through national and regional events of the YAV alum network, we hope to strengthen the support and community which is unique to YAV alums.  We also want to provide the opportunity for recently returned YAVs to find support from those who can understand the challenges of transitioning from a YAV year.  For more information about the YAV alumni network and how you can be involved, visit the YAV alum blog.

Where are they now?

More than 700 YAV alums live in the United States, and some live in other places in the world. Use this Google map to find them. The locations of some of our alumni are listed here.

Don’t see yourself on this map? If you’re an alum of the YAV program and would like your location to be listed on the map, send your information (name, year, place of service and current location) to Blake Collins at

Tell us your story!

We want to hear your story—whether it’s a story about your own experience, about someone with whom you worked or about how your YAV year shaped the rest of your life.  Please let us know if it’s okay to use your story for promotional material or publication. Email your story to the YAV office.

Interested in promoting the YAV program?

If you are promoting YAV at an event, please request promotional materials (informational pamphlet, palm cards, poster, etc.) and we’ll send them your way! Complete this short form two weeks before the event. If you have other questions, send an email to Bridgette Lewis,, or call 800-728-7228, extension 5274.

Recruitment Reports

If you have talked with an individual or group about the Young Adult Volunteer program, please fill out this short form letting us know. These help us keep track of where we are – and where we need to be!
