Expressions of Older Adult Ministry

New Training and Resource Module, this is a place for you to engage as a leader and learner in Christian community. You are invited to explore the Guiding Principles of Older Adult Ministry, an Older Adult Reformed theological framework, some best practices, as well as specific expressions of Older Adult Ministry which may be adapted for your setting. Calling All Coaches!

The Around the Table cohorts will engage and equip church leaders as they accompany households of parents, caregivers, and grandparents to confidently nourish faith at home with children and youth.

We are looking to hire coaches with at least 60 hours of training in the International Coaching Federation standards to guide a cohort through a 12-18 month process of learning and sharing. Grandparent and Test Cohorts

The Around the Table initiative empowers church leaders to nurture faith at home and transform faith communities. Coached cohorts guide faith communities to become thriving intergenerational communities, fostering a holistic integration of Christian faith in daily life. Test cohort and grandparent cohorts are launching this fall, apply by May 31.

The new at-home guides for Flyaway children’s books are being created as part of the Around the Table initiative in partnership with Presbyterian Publishing Corporation. Guides are available in English and Spanish to download for free. The newest guides are for “Saving Delicia,” “The Dress in the Window,” “Who Counts?” and “Who is My Neighbor?” The storybooks may be purchased at the PC(USA) store by clicking on the button below.


Travel Study Seminars

The Presbyterian Peacemaking Program sponsors travel study seminars to different parts of the world to provide Presbyterians with the opportunity to learn firsthand from our partners about efforts for peace, justice and reconciliation in contexts of conflict, injustice and oppression. Affordable Housing – Presbyterian Hunger Program Resource

With diminishing affordable housing options across much of the U.S., many congregations are considering ways to affect change by utilizing untapped resources such as land. This curriculum is meant to introduce participants – whether in a group or individually – to the topic of advocacy. Young people will spend some time thinking about what advocacy means, how it can take shape in their own lives, how it fits into a life of faith and ways in which they can get involved in advocacy in the world around them.
