The Office of Presbyterian Youth and Triennium celebrates, provides opportunities and advocates for Presbyterian youth in the church and the world. In addition to the triennial gathering for high school age and young adult Presbyterians (PYT), The Presbyterian Youth and Triennium office will look at ways to connect the Presbyterian Mission Agency with younger Presbyterians and younger Presbyterians with the rich opportunities for discipleship within the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Presbyterian Youth and Triennium and Becoming a Matthew 25 Church:
The Office of Presbyterian Youth and Triennium is launching during an exciting season of mission in the PMA – “Becoming a Matthew 25 Church”; seeking to develop vitality within our churches, eradicate poverty and eliminate systemic racism. We believe that young Presbyterians are already passionate about and active IN the bringing about these mission priorities.
4 new PYT Connect resources based on the theme of “When Did We See You?” that can be used to create and host your own local or regional PYT theme experience. FREE for you to use to launch this timely biblical theme into the hearts and minds of your youth, young adults, families, and intergenerational groups. Each can be adjusted for a wide variety of events and settings including a small church, presbytery gathering, weekend retreat, regional PYT experience, or mid-week series. Includes an Event Planning Guide, Group Study Guide, Recreation Guide and a Worship & Prayer Guide. Journey to the Cross, a free online Lenten Devotional guide, starts on Ash Wednesday and runs through the Sunday following Easter. This daily devotion is written for both youth and adults and follows a five-step format – Pause, Listen, Think, Pray, Go.
