As we enter a season of dreaming and discerning what God has ahead for Presbyterians Today, we wanted to look back and celebrate the wonderful people, places and projects we’ve been blessed to share with our readers. Over the past several years, we’ve highlighted what it means to live out our Presbyterian faith and theology. We’ve tackled the impact and hardships of living through Covid, navigated the digital transitions in the church, and offered spiritual practices to keep us grounded and connected to God and one another. This issue celebrates and features the best of those stories.

We hope you enjoy this look back as we continue to look toward the future. We sense something new is being born — a premiere publication of the Presbyterian Mission Agency that inspires, empowers and equips Presbyterians and beyond to live out our Matthew 25 calling. An engaging publication that will amplify the voices of those who are oppressed and marginalized, telling stories of transformation in the U.S. and around the world through the work of Matthew 25 churches, mid councils and our global mission partners.

More than a print publication, we’re imagining a digital hub to engage and interact with a suite of Matthew 25 publications and products: from livestreams to podcasts, video storytelling and the latest news from the church. A space where stories of innovation, transformation and ideation for the 21st-century church are curated and shared. We believe the Spirit is moving and this sacred pause will allow us to listen, learn and discern what God has next.

We want our Presbyterians Today readers to go on this journey with us! Here are three things you can do:

  3. Be in conversation. Join our Facebook page by going here to join in on conversations related to Presbyterians Today, the work of the church and what it means to be the church in the 21st century.

Finally, we ask that you pray for and with us as we enter into this time of discernment and discovery filled with hopeful anticipation for the new thing God has in store.

Grace and Peace,

The Presbyterians Today Team
