Medina + Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations + Jan Hus = The connectional church at work

youth doing activityIt is always fascinating to realize how connected the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is.

A June 16, 2011 article in the Presbyterian News Service relates the amazing ministry of Jan Hus Presbyterian Church in Manhattan.

On June 14 and 15, 2011, a group of youth and adults from Medina Presbyterian Church in Medina, Ohio visited Jan Hus Presbyterian Church. They shared in the ministry and learned about the theology of the church that guides the ministry.

The Medina group was at Jan Hus, because they had asked the Presbyterian Ministry at the United Nations (where they visited for a seminar on June 13) for a recommendation of where they could help support a ministry.

Connectionalism is a thing of beauty.

The picture shows the Medina group engaged in a learning activity about immigration led by Martin Lopez of the New York State Youth Leadership Council. Ricky Velez-Negron is the photographer.
