Two days until January 9 referendum in Southern Sudan

Prayer is always in order for the people of Sudan as the referendum on self-determination for Southern Sudan takes place. Join our sisters and brothers in Sudan in prayer between noon and 1:00 p.m. EST or at whatever time is appropriate for you. Pray as you are called. Pray today and through the weekend and as the voting takes place this week and as the votes are counted and as the results are implemented.

People will be praying around the world. There will be an interfaith prayer vigil at the Church Center for the United Nations at 11:00 a.m. today. There will be a prayer vigil in Washington, DC this weekend. A prayer vigil was held in Caledonia, NY last night. A prayer service will be held in Sandy, UT today.

Consider fasting this weekend.
