The Rev. Sam Kobia on South Sudan referendum

Elo_101110_sudandelegates_md Sudan is preparting for a January 9 referendum on self-determiniation for South Sudan. This is called for by the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement which ended decades of war between the northern and southern parts of the country.

People of faith are watching events and praying for our sisters and brothers in Sudan. Sojourners has begun a series on their God's Politics blog that are based on an interview with the Rev. Sam Kobia, ecumenical special envoy to Sudan from the All Africa Conference of Churches.
