Urban Presbyteries Network

About the UPN

The Urban Presbytery Network (UPN) includes presbytery leaders from over 30 “urban-centric” presbyteries. Though there are VCI presbytery leaders in the UPN, the two group are independent.

The goal of the Urban Presbytery Network is to sustain, inspire, and empower these leaders of Christ’s Church, called to meet the needs in urban contexts. We hope to glean and learn from one another; to prayerfully see the needs and offer ourselves in service more and more to God’s mission.  Finally, we hope it will be a joyous opportunity to gather and break bread with glad hearts as we spend time together.

Quarterly Meetings

Through quarterly meetings we hope to contribute to the growth of each presbytery and its leadership according to God’s will for them. We hope to bring in speakers from civic organizations, religious leaders, and secular community leaders to help give voice, history, and context to the ministry being done in the selected urban area.

Urban Presbytery NetworkWe’re excited to welcome Olanda Carr from the Presbyterian Foundation to our next meeting on June 6th at 2:00PM Eastern! Join the UPN for this informative session to explore creative and spirit-inspired ways to do ministry together.
