Tyler Edgar with the National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Program sent the following invitation to a conference call about the Gulf Oil Spill.
On July 1 at 3pm Eastern Time the National Council of Churches will be hosting a national call on the Gulf Oil Spill.
- We will have local clergy and lay leaders join us for the call and have also invited someone from the Obama Administration to provide us with an update of what is happening, what we can expect, and what we can do to respond to this crisis.
- In addition, we will give you an update of what is happening in Congress, what type of response is being planned by your elected officials at the national level, and what you can do to get involved.
- Finally, we will share prayers, hymns, and other faith-based resources for use in your congregation and community
