The National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Program sent the following information about an exciting opportunity for church leaders:
The National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Program has launched an climate change leadership training program, which will provide 18 key religious leaders opportunities to explore the connections, impacts, and emerging links between global climate change and the diverse ministries of the church.
Each participant will leave the training program with the skills, knowledge, and expertise needed to incorporate care for Creation into their own work portfolios. The program, held September 8-10, will be conducted over the course of three days in the Washington, DC, region. Lodging, food, and a travel stipend will be provided for all participants.
Applications will be accepted until July 15, 2010. Participants will be selected and notified by August 1. Please email Cassandra Carmichael for more information.
