Participate in Earth Hour on March 27

Earth%20Hour%20Logo Earth Hour is an initiative of the World Wildlife Fund, which asks individuals, businesses, governments, and organizations to turn off their lights for one hour to symbolically show their support for climate change action.

This year Earth Hour is asking people around the globe to turn off their lights for one hour on Saturday, March 27 at 8:30pm local time.

To join the Earth Hour movement and pledge to turn off your lights for an hour on March 27th, sign up online.  This could be an interesting way to highlight the need for climate change action within your congregation.

Earth Hour reports that in 2009 hundreds of millions of people in over 4,000 cities in 87 countries participated in the event.
