October 24 is International Day of Climate Action

350 Scientists say that 350 parts per million of carbon in the atmosphere is the safe limit for creation. 350.org is asking people around the world to plan actions on October 24 to highlight the need to bring carbon levels down to 350 parts per million (currently the level is at 390 parts per million). The global day of action is meant to emphasize the need for climate action and encourage global leaders to work toward a meaningful agreement at the international climate talks in Copenhagen in December. 350.org includes ideas to assist people of faith in planning events for October 24. Find out more and register your group’s action.    Visit Tustin Presbyterian’s website for information on how they are advocating for climate action on October 24 and for the liturgy that can be followed for a climate action service.
