Senate Climate Bill Introduced

Senators John Kerry and Barbara Boxer introduced the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act on September 30th.  The bill uses much of the same language as the American Clean Energy and Security Act that was passed by the House in June, but it calls for deeper and and faster requirements for cutting greenhouse gases.  Read more about the bill from the U.S. Climate Action Network.

With international climate negotiations scheduled for Copenhagen in December, it is more important than ever that the Senate act on a bill before the end of the year.
