Jessica Tate talks about NEXT Church and a movement to discern how we can be a faithful church in the 21st century in an era when institutional models aren’t serving us as well today as they once did.

 

Jessica Tate<—- Jessica is the director of NEXT Church (www.nextchurch.net). Prior to coming on board with NEXT, she served as associate pastor of Fairfax Presbyterian Church in Northern Virginia. Jessica is a lifelong Presbyterian and a preacher’s kid. Upon graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jessica served as a young adult intern for the PC(USA)’s Office of Public Witness. From there she went on to Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.Jessica and her husband John live in Washington, DC, with their rescued chocolate lab, GiGi, who constantly pulls them outdoors to walk and hike and keeps them humble with her antics and gregarious affection.

 

Rocky SupingerRocky Supinger has been the associate pastor at Claremont Presbyterian Church since 2008. His primary responsibilities are for junior high and high school youth. Rocky came to Claremont with his wife Meredith from Kansas City, Missouri, where he served for three years after completing his Masters of Divinity degree at Princeton Theological Seminary.  He and Meredith are graduates of Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas, and they have one daughter, Laura.
