It’s the challenge that Nathanael from Phillip received
and the invitation Jesus extends to you and me.
Come and see!
Leave behind the shady comfort of your lush fig tree
and approach your neighbor’s struggles and suffering.
Come and see!
Drop your prejudiced views of the Nazarenes
and treat foreigners as equals, guarding their dignity.
Come and see!
Stop doubting without reason someone else’s capacity
and trust the God who turns limitation into opportunity.
Come and see!
Follow Jesus on the path of mercy, justice and humility
and marvel at how God acts on behalf of all humanity.

¡Ven a ver!
Es el reto que Natanael de parte de Felipe recibió
y la invitación que Jesús a ti y a mí nos extendió.
¡Ven a ver!
Renuncia a la cómoda sombra de tu frondosa higuera
y acércate a las luchas y el sufrimiento ajenos a tu esfera.
¡Ven a ver!
Abandona los prejuicios en contra de los nazarenos
y dale un trato igualitario y digno a los extranjeros.
¡Ven a ver!
Deja de cuestionar sin razón, de otra gente la capacidad
y confía en el Dios que convierte la limitación en oportunidad.
¡Ven a ver!
Sigue a Jesús en la senda del amor, la justicia y la humildad
y maravíllate de como Dios actúa a favor de la humanidad.
