The Prophets and the Miracles of Jesus: Lord, hear my prayer
1 Kings 18:37 • Answer me, O Lord, answer me, so that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.
John 11:41–42 • So they took away the stone. And Jesus looked upward and said, “Father, I thank you for having heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I have said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, so that they may believe that you sent me.”
Elijah and Jesus prayed that the people who witnessed the miracle would have faith.
We all need moments of inspiration. Even clergy need to hear a good sermon. Jesus was very aware that some searching for truth needed a spark to ignite their faith fire. Be someone’s inspiration. Share your faith story. It’s more interesting and motivational than you think.
Lord, use me so that others might believe in you. Amen.
