Bruce Reyes-Chow, moderator of the 218th General Assembly (2008) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and Robin Pugh have recently become Pillars of the Church.
In April, at Ecumenical Advocacy Days, the office of Compassion, Peace, and Justice announced the formation of the Pillar initiative where people can designate giving towards particular passions, thus helping to sustain them over the long-haul.
