Reflection and Prayer by Teressa Savastano (11th grade)
Luke 1:46-55
1. What is Mary’s attitude toward God’s plan for her?
2. What does Mary’s song tells us about God’s heart for the poor?
Reflection: Mary has faith in God. No matter where God sends her, she knows it will lead to good. We all should. For God has the best in mind for us. We need to trust God as Mary does. God will help anyone, no matter what. Especially when they are in need of help, God will always be there.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for always being there. Thank you for guiding me and for holding my trust. Amen.
The 2013 Advent Devotions were written by Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) youth and their leaders at the 2013 Youth Triennium. Each day provides a lectionary-based Scripture passage, questions for reflection, and the students’ responses.
