Ecumenical Advocacy Days 2012 are coming to a close. Today, Presbyterians and sisters and brothers in Christ from other denominations are spread across Capitol Hill, urging Members of Congress to “Enact a faithful federal budget that serves the common good, provides robust funding for people struggling to overcome poverty, and exercises proper care of the earth.”
Our colleagues in the Presbyterian Office of Public Witness report that over 200 Presbyterians gathered at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 23 for the Compassion, Peace and Justice Training Day and nearly 200 Presbyterians took part in Ecumenical Advocacy Days.
The dates for Ecumenical Advocacy Days 2013 have been announced: Friday, April 5 through Monday April 8, 2013.
