United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory Issues Statement

Today, Reliefweb shared the statement by the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Speaking on Palestinian Prisoners day, the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Maxwell Gaylard called for protection of rights of Palestinians in Israeli detention, particularly women and children.

Gaylord referenced the approximately 6,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention.    Gaylord called for the treatement of the prisoners to confom to international human rights and humanitarian law.
