Prayer request from Lebanon

Lebanese partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) send the following prayer request:

Yesterday while our Prime Minister was meeting with President Obama, eleven Lebanese Ministers resigned and as a result we are now without a government.

The last six months all business in the country have been either delayed or frozen due to issues related to the international tribunal for Lebanon.

Once again anxiety and fear are knocking our doors as Lebanon seem to be caught in a vicious circle.   For how long, and what days ahead will bring us, are questions on our minds.

Please pray for us and with us for wisdom and God’s guidance for our President and all the decision-makers in Lebanon – Pray for peace and stability in Lebanon and the entire Middle East.

Please pray for our Church and Seminary, for our youth and children.  Pray that we be able to carry on our plans to serve God through Theological Education and Leadership Training.

We praise God for all of you our praying and supporting friends.

May God’s peace brought about by the Lord of Christmas overwhelm the whole world.
