Pray for the people of Pakistan

Posted by the Presbyterian United Nations Ministry

In the wake of attacks on mosques in Darra Adam Khel and in the Badhber area outside Peshawar, pray for those who were killed and injured in the attacks — for their families — for all those who the attacks are intended to intimidate — for those who respond to the disruption caused by the violence — for those who resort to acts of violence and terror.

Mosques and places of worship and holy sites of any faith carry deep symbolic meaning for the members of those faith communities. Acts of violence against places of worship and holy sites are thus in many ways assaults against the whole faith community.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is among those who have condemned the attacks on the worshippers and mosques.

Pray for peace for all the people of Pakistan.
