On October 3rd many Presbyterian Churches collect the Peacemaking Offering. Also on October 3, the National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Program is asking churches around the country to participate in a "Seeking God’s Grace for the Gulf: A Day of Worship, Reflection and Healing." These two events can go hand-in-hand. Your church can collect the Peacemaking Offering and reflect on making peace with God's earth by holding a vigil for the Gulf Coast or including a prayer for the Gulf Coast and its communities in your worship.
