A special gift to the Peacemaking Offering

2010 is the thirtieth anniversary of the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program and the Peacemaking Offering, following the adoption by the General Assembly of Peacemaking: The Believers’ Calling, which called for a new emphasis on peacemaking across the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year as your church plans to receive this Offering, remember the peacemakers of years past. Have you ever attended a peacemaking conference or seminar? Have you made use of resources, Bible studies or devotionals? Have you heard the witness of an International Peacemaker? Have you participated in a travel/study seminar? Consider giving a special gift of $30 either through your congregation’s receiving of the offering, or online now. Make this year a time to renew your commitment to peacemaking as part of your calling as a follower of Christ, who not only taught us the ways of peace but is our peace.
