The baby boy arrived

Last evening, we posted an invitation to prayer for Ms. Judilyn Oliveros of the Philippines.

Tonight, we invite you to give thanks. Her baby boy arrived today – delivered by c-section in a hospital. He is healthy and is 6.8 pounds. Judilyn is also okay, but spent a long time in recovery. The baby is breastfeeding already.

Guards have accompanied Judilyn to this hospital. This makes things more than a little awkward.

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has joined the United Church of Christ in the Philippines and others in appealing for Judilyn's release on humanitarian grounds.

The appeal calls for the release of all the members of the Morong 43, including Ms. Mercedes (Mercy) Castro, because our church partners are convinced they are innocent.
