Proclaiming the Good News of God's Peace: Advent Devotions 2010 is now available.
This booklet, published by the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, provides a devotion for each day of the Advent season.
It is designed to help individuals, households, or congregations prepare for the coming of the Prince of Peace. Use it in a devotional time or in conjunction with an Advent wreath or other tradition.
During this year when the church celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of Peacemaking: The Believers’ Calling, the statement that led to the creation of the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, the authors are individuals who have played a key role in the life of the program—including members of the writing team for Peacemaking: The Believers’ Calling, current and former staff members, individuals who served on the Peacemaking Advisory Committee, International Peacemakers, and more. We give thanks to God for all who have made peace and sought justice in the past and upon whose shoulders we stand, for all peacemakers and justice seekers who accompany us in the present, and for all who will continue to live out the believers’ calling into the future.
Using your generous gifts to the Peacemaking Offering, the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program helps underwrite the production of this booklet. It is our hope that this booklet will help you in “Proclaiming the Good News of God’s Peace” during the Advent Season.
