PC(USA) leaders ask for prayer in wake of Chilean earthquake

Gradye Parsons, Stated Clerk of the General Assembly, Bruce Reyes-Chow, Moderator of the 218th General Assembly (2008), and Linda Valentine, Executive Director of the General Assembly Mission Council, have issued a statement in response to the earthquake that hit Chile on February 27th.

"Once again, the earth has shaken violently, as it did in Haiti several weeks ago. This time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.8 — one of the most powerful ever recorded — has rocked the country of Chile.

"Please join us in prayer for those in Chile who are affected most directly by the earthquake, as well as all who await word from family and friends…."
