Here is a prayer for Presbyterian AIDS Awareness Sunday from the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program:

God of comfort and compassion, we pray for people around your world who are infected with or affected by AIDS and HIV. We pray for those who live with HIV/AIDS; for those who have lost someone to HIV/AIDS; for those who love or know someone who is ill; for those who provide care; for those who do research and seek to alleviate the pandemic. We turn to you for healing. Comfort those who are fearful, anxious, or perplexed. Strengthen those who grieve. Sustain those who struggle.  Guide those who study.  Move us all to seek ways to care for one another. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

If you cannot observe Presbyterian AIDS Awareness Sunday on October 11, feel free to use the resources on another day to lift up our concerns for our sisters and brothers impacted by HIV/AIDS.
