Coming to a location near you?

SMALL DSC_9884 Will an International Peacemaker be appearing near you this year? Hopefully the answer will be yes. Check and see. [PDF]

The Presbyterian Peacemaking Program will bring eleven International Peacemakers to the United States in less than a month.

International Peacemakers are leaders who are engaged in peacemaking in their own countries. They are selected in consultation with staff in the Presbyterian Church's World Mission Ministry and our international partner churches. They are invited by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to visit with Presbyterians in the United States and help us understand the peace and justice concerns of others around the world. This sharing can translate into a better understanding of the peace and justice issues in our own communities.

International Peacemakers visit many places [PDF], but obviously they cannot go everywhere. If an International Peacemaker is not coming to your area this year, there are two options:

  1. Check and see if a speaker in the Presbyterian Church's Mission Challenge will be visiting.
  2. Encourage your presbytery to host an International Peacemaker next year!

The Peacemaking Offering makes possible the International Peacemakers program.
