NPR reports that Christians are fleeing their homes in response to violence directed against them in Mosul. They are taking refuge in churches and homes in villages north of Mosul on the Ninevah Plain. Father Fadi Khaleel, a monk at Mar Mattai monastery, shares his prayer: "Oh Lord! Protect Iraq, and protect Iraqis from any danger, and surround the lives of the Christians, the Muslims, the Kurds and the Arabs with a fence of safety and peace."
