The Presbyterian Communicator’s Network was created in 2004 as a response to a General Assembly Mission Work Plan. The plan called for, among other things, enhancing communications efforts across the denomination and creating a system that promotes dialogue within the church.
“Resourcing Small Churches: Implementing the Small Church Residency Program Model in Your Presbytery or Synod,” a free webinar hosted by the Theology, Formation and Evangelism ministry area, will be offered on Thursday, November 17, at 1:00 p.m. (EST).
The Synod gathering of Waldensian and Methodist Churches met in Turin, Italy, August 21-26, 2016. The meeting included ministers and member commissioners from congregations and 32 ecumenical guests from Europe and from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Leaders and ecumenical representatives spoke Italian, English, French, German and Spanish.
In the northeast corner of the country, the Presbytery of Cayuga-Syracuse made a dramatic decision. It reduced presbytery staff to just one person and got rid of its office space. Today, Cayuga-Syracuse Presbytery has no building. The office is a laptop, and its number rings to a cell phone in Steve Plank’s pocket.
