In the first of three listening circles, the offices of Women’s Leadership Development and Leadership Development for Leaders of Color of the Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries hosted PC(USA) women of color who are in faith leadership roles to provide them with the safety of a space that honors their voices and their experiences as they voice how COVID-19 has impacted their lives and ministries.

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) plans for 2021 #Give828 campaign

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has announced plans for the 2021  #Give828 campaign to benefit the Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries (RE&WIM). The official kickoff of the campaign will be June 16 in conjunction with the celebration of Juneteenth and will be a part of the Presbyterian Week of Action, which will take place in August.

The Rev. Dr. Rhashell Hunter announces plan to leave the Presbyterian Mission Agency

After serving the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) for more than 26 years, the Rev. Dr. Rhashell D. Hunter has announced her plan to leave the Presbyterian Mission Agency (PMA). Hunter has served as the Director of the PMA’s Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries (RE&WIM) for the last 14 years.  She will leave at the end of April.

Orientation events kick off UN Commission on the Status of Women

Members of a joint delegation comprised of individuals from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and Presbyterian Women participated in orientation events this weekend for the 65th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), which will be held virtually for two weeks starting Monday.

Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries funds grants to empower women, LGBTQIA communities

In an ongoing effort to build gender equity, the Women’s Leadership Development and Young Women’s Ministries of the Racial Equity & Women’s Intercultural Ministries has awarded women’s ministries leadership development grants to two congregations: St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Beechwood, Ohio, where the Rev. Carmen Harwell is pastor, and the Seigle Avenue Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, now known as The Avenue Presbyterian Church.
