Food for thought
Usually, when you hear about Presbyterian Pan American School on this blog, it is because they are recipients of the Christmas Joy Offering. So when members of the Student Council wanted to host a fundraiser, they decided to raise funds to give back to PC(USA) mission.
Student Council President Jesus Perez says, “We chose this because we are also students, and many of us know the struggle of studying away from our homes.” The students had such a good time with the fundraiser, they are planning to do it again.The council members made food to sell to other students, and voted on how to donate the profits. They chose School Supplies for Displaced Students from the Presbyterian Giving Catalog.
Presbyterian Pan American School is a Christian college preparatory school that educates and empowers young adults for leadership in the global community.
- Preparing them for admission to the college or university of their choice;
- Developing young people who can relate to and function successfully in an increasingly complex, multicultural society;
- Teaching them the value and dignity of work;
- Training and encouraging them for church and secular service as Christian Leaders for the Americas and beyond.
