Yuriy Lifanse has been named as a 2023 International Peacemaker for the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program. He is a leader in the Community of Sant’Egidio, an international lay Catholic association committed to social service, which was founded in 1968 and has about 50,000 members worldwide.

“The grief continues to be heavy,” says the Rev. Matilda Parker, a ruling elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, will visit U.S. churches later this year as one of up to 10 International Peacemakers. The International Peacemaker visits are sponsored by the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program.
