Links of Love: A paper chain built by Presbyterian generosity is unbreakable

Presbyterians are linked together by faith, fellowship, community and generosity. For the first time ever, we’re making these connections tangible and introducing an activity to celebrate a united effort, raising up our collective impact and making an enormous difference in the lives of others around the world. It’s called Links of Love!

As part of our special #GivingChallenge, encourage your congregation to build a 10+ foot paper chain together. Add a link for every gift made through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog. Get creative! Decorate! Use fun paper. Show your wonderful personality! Display your paper chain in your church and watch it grow with every gift.

Links of Love will make visible within our churches, and then within the halls of General Assembly (and beyond), the amazing engagement from Presbyterian churches across the country. We’ll collect the paper chains from each congregation and connect them all at the 224th General Assembly in Baltimore, showing the enormous difference small gifts can make in the lives of others around the world. Our goal is to reach 1,000 feet!

Talk to the leaders at your church about how you can help launch this activity. Specific instructions and ideas are located here, and materials can be ordered from the PC(USA) store. Then share on social! Tag @GivingCatalog and use the hashtag #smallgiftsbigimpact. Paper chain submissions can be mailed in any time before May 15, 2020.

Fortified with grace, gratitude, and God’s love, these simple paper chains symbolize the strongest bonds we know!
