Now that One Great Hour of Sharing is in the books, it is time to turn our attention to the Pentecost Offering. Received 50 days after Easter, this offering signals the beginning of the Pentecost Season. The ministries supported by the Pentecost Offering teach young people to make faith, fellowship, and service part of their lives. Your gift to the Pentecost Offering unites young people in Christ and inspires them to share their faith, ideas, and unique gifts with the church and the world.
How to get involved:
- Call the Presbyterian Distribution Service at (800) 524-2612 to order additional bulletin inserts or envelopes for use on Pentecost (May 24)
- Visit our resource page to download Minutes for Mission and other helpful promotional materials
- Promote the offering in your congregation
- Remember that 40% of offering receipts are retained at the local level!
- Suggest the Young Adult Volunteer program to a recent college grad
- Involve your Youth Group by having a car wash or bake sale
- Give online now, or by texting YOUNG to 20222
