VBS Kids Get Creative and Raise Hundreds for PC(USA) Water Project

Presbyterian Giving Catalog

Since the Presbyterian Giving Catalog is one of our newest tools to help raise support funds for Presbyterian Mission Agency projects we’re still learning how to help congregations utilize it in a way that inspires people to invest in PC(USA) causes around the globe.

And sometimes it’s a congregation that educates and inspires us.

One such example comes from Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Georgia, whose “Splish-Splash” Vacation Bible School students helped raise more than $400 in gifts to support the intallation of garden wells in Africa, through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog. These VBS students chose a gift from the catalog associated with their “Splish-Splash” VBS theme, learned everything they could about the project, and created an educational display that even included a life-size model of a garden well!

We are incredibly excited to see how this can serve as an example to congregations across the PC(USA) on how to educate even its youngest members on the impact of generous giving.

If you are considering something similar in your church, please let us know so that we can help!
