Observers arrive in Philippines

The Philippine Election Observer Team reports that there will be over 80 observers of the elections in the Philippines from over ten countries. Most of the observers come from the United Sates and Canada. Other countries include Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Germany, France, and Argentina. Backgrounds include pastors, lawyers, professors, artisans, labor organizers, journalists, community organizers, and human rights workers. Presbyterians are among them.
