God of justice, God of compassion, God of peace, we pray for those who work for human rights in Colombia. We give thanks for their commitment to the well-being of all the people. We give thanks for their faithful witness. Particularly we pray for those who have been killed, grant them a holy rest. Comfort those who mourn. Strengthen those who are fearful. Provide courage and faith and hope and all that is needed for the living of these days. Grant wisdom and grace as the country prepares for election. Inspire the leaders of the country to repent – to turn around – to end the oppression – and to do justice which will lead to peace. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
