Denominational website upgrade draws closer

The launch of the revamped, reorganized and unified denominational website, https://www.pcusa.org, is targeted for completion by the end of 2022 or the first quarter of 2023, a team tasked with finding a vendor to design the new site’s functions, searchability and organization said on Monday.

Even while livestreaming worship, churches must comply with copyright laws

The people who design and livestream worship need to be aware of the basics of copyright law, and an online workshop offered Tuesday by the Presbyterian Communicators Network helped nearly 100 participants to understand what’s required of churches, including laws that may be evolving even as the pandemic persists.

As part of its work helping the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to overhaul two of its main websites, the denomination’s consultant, Centralis, has produced short videos of Presbyterians trying to navigate the current sites, https://www.pcusa.org and https://www.presbyterianmission.org.

A complete revamping of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s two main websites as they merge into one site, at http://www.pcusa.org, will take about two years and will come about only with significant input from the Presbyterians who use them.
