Hi everyone! My name is Leah Brooks and I am from Hickory, NC. I graduated in 2021 from UNC-Chapel Hill with a double major in political science and music. I am so excited to be serving with YAV in NYC during the 2021-2022 year! After serving with YAV, I am hoping to go back to school to pursue a degree in social work and/or law. I am passionate about social justice and the role the church plays in living like Jesus in an often chaotic and divisive world. I am excited to see all the ways in which God will work in my life and the world around me during this year!
