My name is Langley Hoyt. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Greenville, South Carolina. I am 21 years old and just graduated from Davidson College with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. I am currently exploring how my faith calls me to a life of working for a more just world, together with people who are commonly pushed to the margins of our society. I hope that my year with YAV in D.C. will provide me an opportunity to actively work for housing and racial justice, while being rooted in a faith community. I am so excited to dive into a year of emotional and spiritual work with the YAVs and residents of D.C.
