Emma Teichert

Hi, I’m Emma Teichert! As a recent graduate of the College of Wooster, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Psychology, I am excited to serve in Irvine, Scotland. In my hometown Chevy Chase Maryland, I grew up in a Presbyterian Church in which my mother serves as the Senior Pastor. While my home church shaped my faith, the Religious Studies Department at Wooster and our Chaplain Erin Guzman, showed me how religion can be used as a lens with which to understand multiple perspectives and promote social justice. I hope that with this time in Scotland with a spiritually focused community, I am able discern the role God will play in my future endeavors. I look forward to experiencing how the Presbyterian Church can implement effective social change in Scotland!
