Hello! My name is Diana Rubi and I am 21 years old. I was born in Mexico City, but I grew up in Peoria, Illinois. I am graduating from Monmouth College as a political science, international studies and Spanish triple major. For too long, I didn’t know how my faith could interact with my passion to do social justice work. But, I have come to the realization that I am called to work toward equitable solutions for marginalized communities because of my faith. I believe that God calls us to be compassionate and seek justice for communities in the U.S. and around the world. This upcoming year, I will be serving as a YAV in New York City. I am excited for all the new experiences that will challenge and grow my faith.
