My name is David Ehlert. I am 21 years old, and have just graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in natural resources and environmental science. My passion is environmental stewardship and service to the natural world. I have been fortunate enough to serve at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church in my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky, as well as Camp Burnamwood in Irvine, Kentucky. I found my passion for serving God’s world in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, as well as on the coast of Florida, where I served as an environmental educator for Reef Environmental Education Foundation. I see God in the world around me, as well as in the faces of those around me. Throughout my year of service, I hope to learn what it truly means to serve, as well as develop a deeper relationship with God.
