Hi! My name is Clare Simard, and I will be serving as a YAV in Dundee, Scotland for the 2023-2024 year. I have recently graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Growing up in Petoskey, a small town in Northern Michigan, I have been supported by a congregation that has encouraged and pushed me to live my life filled with love, a passion for lifelong learning, and acknowledging the importance of service. I am incredibly excited to learn more about myself, and the world, and lean more deeply into my faith as well as educational background to work with those in the community where I will be residing.
