Reflecting on COP28: The PC(USA) Delegation Shares

January 30 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST

The first United Nation’s Conference on the Parties (COP) – held in Berlin in 1995 – had just 3,969 delegates. Official numbers for attendance at COP28 held this past December in Dubai recorded 97,372, making it the largest in history.

Among those nearly 100,000 delegates at COP28 were:
• Alethia White, Co-Regional Liaison for Northern and Central Europe,
• Christina Cosby, domestic policy representative in the Office of Public Witness,
• Jed Koball, Joining Hands Catalyst for Extractive Industries, Human Rights and the Environment,
• Rev. Bill Somplatsky-Jarman, a former staff member for the Presbyterian Committee on Mission Responsibility Through Investment (MRTI)

Come hear a first-hand account of what happened at COP28, what we should celebrate, and what action we still need to take from the four PC(USA) delegates.

Feel free to bring your own questions to ask the delegation after their opportunity to share!

Hosted by the Presbyterian Mission Agency and Presbyterians for Earth Care.
