Hello! My name is Ellie McDermott. I’m from Charleston, South Carolina and I’m 22 years old. I graduated in May from Presbyterian College with a degree in Christian education. I have always been heavily involved in the church and continued this in college, holding various leadership positions in religious groups. I first felt my call to serve God and the church when I was just 15 years old, and I have been chasing it ever since. I know I was put on this earth to help people and however that may be is something I hope to discover during my YAV year. I cannot wait to spend my YAV year in New Orleans helping the people and community there.
