We are excited to announce that our first “guides for sharing stories with children” have been released. These guides are available in English and Spanish and are used with the 2 newest releases from FlyAway Books. The Dress in the Window by Robert Tregoning & Pippa Curnick is about A young boy who longs for a dress that he sees in a shop window and rejoices when his mother gifts it to him for his birthday. This story includes a guide for reading the story with children as well as additional parent resources about gender identity. It celebrates that God loves us just as we are. Saving Delicia by Laura Gehl is about When the last delicia tree is in danger of extinction, a young girl creates a seed bank as a surprise for Old Otis, whose stories have inspired her. It explores generational connections, loss and grief.
