Third Presbyterian Church of St Louis Missouri

Third Presbyterian Church is active in all three criteria for what it means to be a Matthew 25 church. God first, community second and we are third church. Part of our vision is to seek and glorify God though the implementation of ministries that provide physical, spiritual and educational resources needed for the strengthening of our congregation and surrounding community. Examples are as follows:

Building congregational vitality
• Sunday sermon offered in person and live via YouTube at 10 a.m.
• Bible study class via Zoom on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m.
• Sunday school offered via Zoom on Sunday at 8 a.m.
• Free subscription to Right Now Media with over 20,000 Bible study videos for us to utilize and share with family and friends.
• Ministries:
Senior, Student, Children’s, Men’s, Women’s, Marriage, Health Praise and Worship, Transportation and several other ministries in which to serve.

Dismantling structural racism
• Black History Study in our “Truth Be Told Series” and Black History School done every Sunday before the sermon in February.
• Working with other congregations through DRAWP (Dismantling Racism and White Privilege) to address social injustice.
• Traveling with other congregations of the presbytery to historical Black sites and having open discussions on past and present acts of racism.

Eradicating systemic poverty
• Camp Flourish/summer camp.
• Soup kitchen volunteers and food pantry donations.
• Countless contributions to the community.
• Supplies for clean up after floods in St. Louis.
• Food drives during Covid.
• Free coats and meal for all ages in November.
• Gift cards for families in need.
• Bikes for the youth.
